A Week Of Practise!

Hello Everyone!
So it's Monday evening and by now we all know how it goes on here!
So last week I had my car for the first time as I picked it up on Monday night which was so exciting and nerve wracking but I was so happy when we picked it up and the drive home went really well. I've been doing an hour drive every night since the Monday evening with my mum to practise reverse parking into parking spaces and stuff like that and it's been going really well. I've had nights were I honestly wonder why I passed but then other days it goes so great. I have to say it's taking me a while to get used to the actual car as it's completely different to the car I learnt to drive in and stuff like that but I think in a few months I'll be fine. I think the thing is I'm trying too hard to make everything work straight away. I haven't even passed over a week and I'm trying to fit in as much as I can to try and be ready to drive to work. But I'm slowly beginning to realise that it can take as long as it needs to as long as I just concentrate and keep calm when I'm doing the small trips at the moment I should be fine. I don't need to start driving to work yet if I don't feel confident as that will come in time. I'm going to do little trips with my mum after work so I can get confidence that way on all the different kind of roads but on a weekend I'm going to try go places with Luke so we can actually spend time together at different places and it will also give me experience on the roads on my own. This week I'm thinking of doing some trips on my own so I can get some confidence on the road when I'm by myself as I don't want to have a passenger everywhere I go as that's just silly to me.    All I can say is I'm really struggling in the car on my own knowing no one has pedals at the other side so it's just so annoying when I know I could do it before so let's hope in time it gets easier.
Do you have any tips?
