Library Haul

Hello Everyone!
So today I thought I would share the books I got from the library again when I returned the other books.
So as I said in my last library haul I'm trying to get back into reading and when I returned the other books I hadn't read that many of them as I just wasn't feeling any of the story lines so I decided to pick up some more books and try these out and see if I could get into any of these.
So the first book I picked up was Staying Strong by Demi Lovato which I had wanted to pick up for quite a while but just never got the chance to so when I saw this in the library I decided to give it a go and see if I enjoy it. I've decided with this been a page a day for a year I'm going to read a few pages a night so I don't get bored of the book but also then I can still read another book beside it.
The next book I picked up was If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch which if I'm honest I saw this a lot on YouTube and thought it sounded like a good book but it wasn't really in the genre which I normally read but I decided when it was on the library shelf to pick it up and give it a go. The blurb doesn't tell you much apart from two girls who live in a caravan with their mum in the middle of the woods and she disappears from time to time but this time some people come to the caravan when their mum is there and the oldest sister has to handle the situation which I think just sounds like an interesting book so I'm really excited to get round to reading this book.
The next book I picked up was Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher which I've wanted to pick up for a while now as the story just sounded so interesting to me as the main character starts sending letters to a convict I think (I'm not 100% as I haven't read into it too much for when I read it) but I like to try books which are out of my comfort zone and I'm really hoping I enjoy this book and the cover and pages are so unique as the pages have red birds so when you close the book you just see red birds which I think is a good touch and I feel like it adds to the book when they add little touches like that- I'm a sucker for stuff like that so it's a bonus for me when books have stuff like that.
The last book I decided to pick up was Naomi & Ely's No Kiss List by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan which I mainly picked this up as I saw the movie on Netflix and I didn't really rate the film that much but I thought maybe the book may be better so I decided to give it a go and see if I prefer the book which I'm hoping I like it as I really liked the idea of the story as it's about two best friends who are male and female but they have no feelings towards each other as the male character is actually gay but in the story you begin to realise the girl actually likes the male best friend. They make a 'No Kiss List' which who ever makes that list they both cannot kiss but do they stick to it? That's what you find out throughout the story and I think it's just a fun quick read.
Have you taken anything from the library recently?

  1. I love the idea of this post! The no kiss list film on Netflix wasn't the best in my opinion, but I'm intrigued to see if the book is any different!

  2. Great post Megan, and I like how you are using your local library. I want to get back into using a library or even just buying secondhand books as it’s much more economical. All the titles you picked up look read worthy, I’ve had my eye on the Demi Lavato book too. Happy reading! :-) xx
