Small Library Haul

Hello Everyone!
I’m here this week to share the few books I picked up from my local library which I recently went to but let’s see if I actually get round to reading these (I hope so!).
So our local library recently moved to a new building so I decided to go and have a look one Saturday to see what it looked like but also see what kind of books were now stocked there as the old library was okay but it didn’t have the greatest selection of books but was I surprised? Yes I was as I found so many books I wanted to pick up but decided to stick to just four so I could make sure I actually got round to reading them and actually finishing them before they had to go back.

Whisper To Me – Nick Lake I will be honest I picked this up because of the cover as this is definitely my kind of book when it comes to the cover but also the blurb kind of drew me in too as it explains a love story but as I can tell it’s not the standard perfect summer romance which I’m really excited to actually get round to this book, I will admit this book is definitely on the chunkier side when it comes to books but something about this is making me want to read it ASAP. If I don’t get round to this with the physical copy I’m definitely buying it for my Kindle.

Girlhood – Cat Clarke I saw this on one of Zoella’s vlogs where she was talking about the next set of books for the WHSmith book club and I saw this book and again the cover kind of drew me in but I just feel like this book will definitely be something different for me. The blurb kind of explains the book as a thriller which is definitely not my kind of book but I do want to give this a go. The book is based in Scotland which I’ve never read a book based in Scotland before but it’s about a boarding school (Childhood dreams!) I feel as though this will be one of those books where you are on the edge of your seat the whole time but I definitely want to pick this one up. Again I will probably purchase this if I don’t get round to the physical copy.

Twenty Boy Summer – Sarah Ockler this has been a book which has been on my TBR for years literally years but I’ve just never picked it up so when I saw it in the library I knew this was my time to read it. This is definitely my kind of book as I love romance and contemporary so this will definitely be my kind of read which I’ve actually got this in my bag to pick up when I get a spare half an hour but for now this is my “Currently Reading” book. The cover is just so stunning to me which is another reason why I feel as though I will love this book – I know you’re not supposed to judge books by their covers but I can’t help it. This book is basically a summer romance novel which I’m guessing involves 20 different boys possibly? We will see.

The Memory Book – Lara Avery So I was drawn to this book simply because of how vibrant the colours are but also its post it notes which is such a good idea. So this book is based around the main character who writes everything down to remember (I won’t spoil the story line) but this was the first book I picked up as it just intrigued me but I just couldn’t get into it so I had to put it down. I may pick this back up again but for now there’s other books which I’m wanting to read.
Have you picked any books from the library?
